GUITAR AND UKULELE

(Individual classes in preschool)

Individual guitar
or ukulele lessons

Playing guitar or ukulele is much more than a music lesson –
it’s the development of manual dexterity, coordination, hearing and creative thinking. String instruments excellently support fine motor skills, teach patience, focus and consistency –
all in an atmosphere of play, mindfulness and the joy of creating.
Classes take place in the familiar, safe environment of preschool
and combine play with learning.
It’s a time for smiles, interesting discoveries and passion development – guided at the child’s pace, with gentle teacher support and elements of English woven
into daily practice.
Classes are conducted in a Polish-English system or entirely in English –
depending on the child’s readiness and preferences.

What do we learn in classes?

– learning about the instrument’s construction and function,
– learning simple chords,
– playing familiar melodies and songs,
– rhythmic and listening exercises,
– hand and finger coordination,
– playing by ear and from notation or tablature,
– expressing yourself through music,
– vocabulary and phrases in English

Class duration:

Classes take place once or twice a week at a set time.
There are three time options available: 30, 45 or 60 minutes –
depending on the age, concentration level and individual needs of the child.

Additional materials:

After each class, the teacher prepares materials
for practice at home – these may include:
– chords and song lyrics,
– rhythmic and fingering exercises,
– activities to support coordination and musical hearing,
– worksheets for independent practice.
Once a month, parents also receive a summary of words
and phrases – both musical and English –
that appeared in the lessons.
This makes it easier to consolidate knowledge outside of classes too.
